Hey everyone, I’m not even sure how to begin this, but I wanted to take the time to write from the heart about some of the things that have been going on and how I’ve been.
For those who are new or even new-ish to the community, you may not know much about the history of this channel and what we’re about or where we came from. Originally, this website was started as a place for me to write blogs about my favorite things. In fact, it originally started with reviews for RPG Maker horror games. This was something provided to me from my fiance as something to do, way back when I had left my last day job so I could start my recovery process, recovering from the trauma of my dad’s passing back in 2014. Over time, one thing lead to another and now this website is the main hub for all the things we currently do.
Two years ago, I did not see this coming. In fact, I was dead certain back then I really did not think I’d recover. I thought I’d just write reviews from the corner of my room with my lap top and that was all. And yet, here we are now with a success story. Here we are now with a growing, thriving positive community. I know the description may sound simple, but it’s not. A lot of work goes into making this function. Everything from spending time to networking, promoting, marketing, to talking to friends in dms, giving one on one instruction / coaching, to doing our darnest to keeping a cool head for our broadcasts, even when having an off day.
Most times than naught, when people first come into our broadcasts, they see someone who likes cats, coffee, and drawing cute things. But it’s more than that. I’m a developing artist, absolutely. Many call me a professional; I personally think I have a long way to go. While I absolutely enjoy creating, it’s not what the channel is about. What our channel is about is setting a positive example for others. We are firm believers that perspective is key to success. If you can change your perspective, you can change anything. Right now, we just happen to do it with art. But who knows what could happen in a years time, in a couple years time, in ten years time.
Today, I bring this up because it was around two years ago when my journey really began. A year ago from today even, things have drastically changed. And those of you who’ve been there with me through this know what I’m talking about. I feel absolutely eternally grateful for the amount of support that there has been from the community wanting to see this succeed. Over the past two years we’ve gone from having no equipment, with HallwayRaptor working his day job, to moving provinces, having the equipment we need and Raptor being able to work from home with me. We have made many great friends and learned who are true friends really are. I’ve gone from only creating commissions, to being sponsored by you guys to create anything I want. And with every project, with every stream I do my absolute darnest to give back. Whether it’s giveaways, digital downloads for our subscribers, art trades, just because gifts or just being able to get around to everyones stream to say “hi.” I want to do everything I can to pay your kindness forward.
With this being said, I have no idea what this next year will bring, but if it’s anything like this past year has been then I think we are in for an exciting ride.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for this opportunity. 💕
